Sociology: Research

Participatory Action Research on Food Sustainability (PARFS)

PARFS (Participatory Action Research on Food Sustainability) is a novel action research project at the University of Edinburgh, involving staff and students working together on improving food sustainability at the university.

PARFS is a flagship project, which was awarded funding by the Institute of Academic Development (IAD), through their competitive Principal’s Teaching Award Scheme (PTAS). It was initiated by Chancellor’s Fellow, Dr Niamh Moore, working together with a team of academic and professional staff from across the University, along with students from The Social Life of Food, an undergraduate course in Sociology.
