Renewable Energy in the News
Prof Jan Webb discusses with BBC Scotland
Early 2017 is a time for ambitious Scottish Government programmes on clean energy and climate change. Government is publishing its new climate protection plan and its first ever energy strategy in the next week. Ahead of that, BBC Scotland has been looking at the future of heating for our buildings and hot water. They visited the district heating scheme in Aberdeen and talked to the Glasgow manufacturers of water source heat pumps used for district heating in Drammen, Norway. They also talked to Jan Webb about her research on sustainable heat and cities. The BBC report is here and the broadcast is here.
