Please find below event information on a forthcoming collaboration between SSPS and a variety of partners.  This event will discuss issues of race, justice and citizenship raised by the Trojan Horse affair of a supposed plot to Islamacise schools in Birmingham. It will involve one of the defence barristers for the senior teachers accused of professional misconduct by the National College of Teaching and Learning, an expert witness for the defence and co-author of Countering Extremism in British Schools? The Truth about the Birmingham Trojan Horse Affair, as well as Scottish and English NGOs and stakeholders.

The event takes place in conjunction with LUNG theatre’s play, Trojan Horse, which is being staged in association with Leeds Playhouse throughout the Edinburgh Fringe (showing daily, Summerhall 3.15-4.30pm). LUNG is a critically acclaimed documentary and community theatre groups whose previous work includes Chilcot (on the Chilcot Inquiry into the Iraq war) and The 56 (about the fatal fire in 1985 at the Bradford city football ground).
