After genocide and ethnic conflict: confronting the challenges of healing and reconciliation.
This exhibit, 16-17 January 2014 in the Chrystal Macmillan Building foyer, marks the launch of the Genocide and Ethnic Conflict postgraduate course and is part of Sociology's 50th Anniversary
The exhibit features research undertaken by three doctoral and one honours Sociology students as part of their degrees
Each project highlights the dilemmas of post-conflict reconciliation in contrasting contexts: survivors of rape in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Rwanda and Kosova, ethnic cleansing of religious minorities in Iraq and former child soldiers in Sierra Leone, Uganda, Sri Lanka and Colombia.
